About

enlasnubes is a creative project led by Amalia Renteria that explores sound, memory, and material culture through vinyl, archives, and experimental storytelling rooted in Latinx and borderland histories.

About Archivo Sonoro Latino

Archivo Sonoro Latino is an independent virtual archive dedicated to preserving the rich legacy of Latin music on vinyl. Founded and funded by Amalia Renteria, enlasnubes, the archive is rooted in cultural memory, migration, and the stories carried through recorded sound.

The Archive features album cover and back cover art, liner notes, labels, catalog information, photographs, ephemera, and contextual writing connected to vinyl records from across Latin America, the United States, and the diaspora. Together, these materials document not only music history, but the social and cultural worlds that shaped it. The Archive also points visitors toward related collections, labels, and resources that expand this shared sonic history.

The Archive is for everyone!
A place to browse for inspiration, research, or the quiet joy of remembering.
A living collection shaped by decades of listening, crossing borders, and holding onto sound.
Share it with family, chosen kin, and anyone who understands music as a way of coming home.

Mission

Our goal is to steward a living archive that recognizes and preserves the expansive and inclusive history of Latin music on vinyl—honoring the artists, communities, and cultural memory embedded in each record. As the Archive grows, we seek funders, partners, and supporters who share a commitment to preservation, access, and community-centered cultural history.
